Total of 698 ballots received for the ballot count on October 5th in St. Louis. All committee members and NRCA representative showed up
- 698 ballots received
- less 5 - past post-marked date
- less 3 - w/o labels
- less 1 - no vote (just a comment)
- less 3 - duplicates (previous sent in as registered mail)
- Total valid ballots = 686
- 258 voted yes to disaffiliation= 37.6%
- 428 voted no disaffiliation = 62.4%
As per Article 7, Section 4 .2 of the NRA bylaws "A Division may terminate its own divisional status, if by a mail ballot, at least two-thirds of its members voting shall elect termination." The two thirds needed for NRCA to disaffiliate was not met and therefore NRCA remains a Division of NRA.
