About the conference

CONCEPT: This annual event has become Wisconsin’s premiere conference for rehabilitation professionals. Conference attendees come from public and private organizations and include case managers, therapists, placement specialists, educators, community mental health providers, direct service staff, school-to-work transition councilors, and administrators. This three-day conference features seven different tracts and offers sessions for employees at every level. Presenting at the conference is a professional hallmark of reinvesting knowledge and experience. Presenters are renowned both statewide and nationally, or are rehabilitation professionals practicing innovative strategies for assisting consumers. Presenters point practitioners toward more effective ways to obtain desired results and present useful answers to workplace challenges.

FOCUS AREAS: Transition, Employment, Residential Care, Disabilities, Ethics, Management, Special Interest

Please submit topic abstracts in the following format:
TITLE of presentation or panel

NAME(S): Include affiliation and contact (telephone, address, e-mail) for each presenter.

FORMAT (all sessions are in 1.5 hour time blocks):
___ Panel ( presentation of 3-4 perspectives by individual presenters)
___ Interactive Workshop (participatory application of a specific program)
___ Lecture/Presentation
___ Other (we welcome inventive presentation possibilities)

TOPIC: Include description (50 - 100 words) of topic content and outcomes.

EQUIPMENT: Please list audiovisual equipment you are requesting.

REFERENCES: Please indicate when and where you have presented this topic in the past and include information for contact persons who represent those organizations, seminars or conferences.

ACCESS: All proposals must plan for the full inclusion of all participants and audience members. This includes providing hard copy and large print hard copies and electronic-text versions of all handouts in advance of the conference.
