Leglislative Chair-
The WRA legislative chair reviews all rehabilitation related bulletins, updates and press releases from the NRA national office , and from local sources. The legislative chair then provides reports to the WRA board regarding topics of interest, and makes recommendations for any action that should be taken by the board, or the WRA membership. This would include, but not be limited to, preparation of position statements, contacts with legislators and/or their aides, and letter writing campaigns. The legislative chair is the board member typically assigned to represent WRA at the annual NRA legislative affairs seminar in Washington D.C., if the board decides to send a representative or delegation. The legislative chair will be responsible for arranging meetings with legislators and coordinating activities at this event, as well as reporting back to the board on the work done at this seminar.
